I realize you'll have a different set of conclusions--you've taken a very different path. But I think the deathsplosion of publishing en masse would be bad for both of us. You're affected by it, even if you're not directly involved.

My friends and I used to have a public reading of the Iliad or the Odyssey every year, with fire and drums and the first fifteen lines of each chapter in Greek, and lamb and wine. It was an all night affair, finishing as the sun came up. I've read both of them in the original and in practically every translation, but nothing will ever be as amazing as hearing them aloud, in a grassy field, with the stars overhead.
