had the problem more than a few times myself - as well as the sleep. I get the cramps more when I've not been taking in enough fluids, as well as when my potassium is low. For me, the fastest way to relieve them has always been to apply pressure. Or to hit the spot. I'll wake up with a spasm and start punching myself in the leg.


My sleep has been 'confused' for several years now. I don't drive anymore because I caught myself several times starting to fall asleep behind the wheel even if I'd only just gotten up a couple hours beforehand after a full night of sleep. I've been to a sleep lab about that, found out I've got obstructive sleep apnea (fairly severe) to the degree that I stop breathing about 48 times an hour, sometimes for up to almost a whole minute at a time.
