Official sign-up for gaming groups.

In order to actually get something organized for running D&D games, I've narrowed things down to the two nights I'm going to be most available, with an initial target window of 8 PM to 12, and set up virtual sign-up sheets on my gaming site. I apologize to the people who've already expressed interest, but I think I'll be able to put groups together better if instead of looking for overlapping windows in everybody's schedules I just see who's all available at these times. Also, I'd like to narrow down the characters a bit, so I'm asking for one or two specific characters that interested individuals would like to play as.

Please read the details here and then sign up here for Wednesday or here for Sunday.

Video not terribly relevant.

I've been getting used to Skype and testing it out for upcoming gaming nights, and I've realized several advantages it holds for me over traditional phones:

1. I don't have to worry about losing it or forgetting to charge up a separate device.
2. It feels more like using a computer (which I'm comfortable with) than talking on a phone (which I'm not).
3. Phone service through it is markedly cheaper than the service I'm paying for now, much of which is redundant now that I have a laptop that I can take with me.

So, after doing a little consumer research, I've decided I'm going to cancel my cell phone service, turning it essentially into a PDA/organizer, in order to save money every month. How much money? Well, a year's service plus an Omaha phone number for a year cost me less than a month of my current cell phone service.

So, to those few of you have my current cell phone number for texting, this is just a note to let you know that it will soon be invalid.
