News For Today

So, yesterday (or rather, early this morning) I put up the first part of a long-promised story about Laurel Anne Blaise. It was not meant to be a multi-parter, but I realized one of the reasons I was having a hard time writing it was that it was bigger than a single 3,000-ish word story.

Going to have to see how the rest of this week goes, but I think I've got a real breakthrough.

I'll be posting more another audio track soon. I'd hoped to beat the one-a-week promise, but it's been stormy every time I've wanted to sit down with the headset on.

State of the Me

Little head foggy. Was up late yesterday after sleeping in late after being kept up by storms.

Dreams From Last Night

I was staying with my family, and there weren't enough bathrooms for everyone to get ready in the morning so I had go shave my legs in a car in the driveway that had been filled up with water.

Also, my little sister was being played by Heather Morris. She was just sitting in the background playing old NES games. I really want to know who the casting director for my subconscious is and how they keep getting name actors for cameos and walk-ons.

Some advice.

If you ever find yourself eating at Denny's (wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's strangely popular around here despite not being nearly the only late-night cafe-style restaurant, or even the only 24 hour one), don't be fooled by the menu pages they've added offering Real Grown-Up Food For Motherfucking Adults. Ordering from it will leave you wishing you'd either gone to another restaurant or ordered something else.

If you're at Denny's, act like you're at Denny's. Order the slams. Order stuff from griddles and skillets. Order your favorite arrangement of potatoes, eggs, bacon, and cheese. Denny's does those things well... far better that they do things like lemon pepper tilapia and steamed vegetables.

(Also, Chrome? "Tilapia" is so a word. It is embarrassing that you don't know what it is when Denny's does. I am embarrassed for both of us, Chrome.)
