The Daily Report
Well, I do feel quite a bit better and seem to have jarred myself out of the mental/emotional rut I was in. It wasn't so much the need to get out of the house as the need to step out of my life for a few days.
What I was did was go down to Kansas City for the renaissance fair there, as this might very well be my last autumn in the midwest.It was originally going to be a day trip but then we had the opportunity to make it into an extended weekend thing. Not to spend more time at the fair... two days in a row walking around outside in the hot sun and walking up and down uneven ground would really wear me out, but rather to spend a whole day at the fair and have a reasonable travel schedule around it. It went really well and helped me break out of some cycles I'd been stuck in and get some necessary distance from things.
I don't really have anything big or epiphanic to report here at the moment. Just to say that I'm better and I'm back.
The State of the Me
I didn't sleep much or well on my trip, but I had a restful day yesterday and a solid night of sleep last night.
Plans For The Day
I'm going to be spending the morning and early afternoon feeling out a few new ways of approaching things, and then the afternoon and early evening finishing the chapter to post today.
