Now you've mentioned it, I have this weird yet oddly intriguing picture in my head of the brilliant Eddie Izzard playing the role of Steff in a movie (he's a transvestite, but in what I could only describe as a Brechtian way) - though he is a bit too old and doesn't really fit the elven aesthetic. Nice mental image though.
