I'm reminded of a disturbing scene from 'The 7thGuest' (one of very few horror games to have given me nightmares) where some guy wakes up on a laboratory table, reaches up to scratch his head and finds the entire top half of his skull missing, reaching over the side in shock and pulling away bits of gray-matter from the brain sitting in a dish next to the table..
