I agree with you about reading, though I have to admit I've never met another author who said they don't read others' books for pleasure. I think I would have trouble communicating with someone who believed that.

Then again, I had a "yeah, sure" moment in response to Piers Anthony's insistence that there's no such thing as writer's block.
