popelizbet has asked me to link to this post, where she talks about Oyate, "a Native organization working to see that our lives and histories are portrayed honestly, and so that all people will know our stories belong to us." that has to raise the funds to match a grant by Saturday or lose it. They were, as of the Papal Posting, about 2/3rds of the way there... but they have to be all the way there by the 1st.
