What I've come to realize is that my enthusiasm for Universe B is rooted as much in my role as a consumer of content as a producer of it.
This, basically. Writers who I respect and admire run around like if traditional publishing disappeared the sky would fall while my non-writer friends hold up anarchist revolution signs.
It's... rather upsetting to watch them fight with each other, but I guess that's what the future is.
