Well, it's that day again... the day the apartment manager is supposed to be dropping by for a "walkthrough" inspection, whatever that actually means.
I think logically it should mean checking to make sure that the specific issue brought to our attention in the letter from the management office has been addressed, which it has been... in spades. However, at this point, I'm not assuming logic is going to have anything to do with the proceedings. I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does.
Frequent blog readers will recall that this was supposed to be over and done with last Wednesday, only the apartment manager was out sick. Well, 'tis the season, especially in Nebraska. We'll see what happens today. Just like last time, I haven't been able to sleep or really focus on anything else. I've been cleaning, of course, branching out to cover things that have less and less to do with clutter and fire hazards and hygiene. At this point, I think I've passed "neurotic" and am verging slowly closer and closer to full-blown psychosis.
Will keep you posted on the inspection/my inevitable breakdown. Once it's over and done with, first thing I'm going to do either way is sleep. After that I'll figure out how to salvage my holiday, and after that... God of Tenant-Landlord Relations willing... I'll be able to put all this behind me and get back to doing what we all enjoy.
