Live Public Reading + Palimpsest
Mar. 9th, 2009 11:14 amHere's some more specific information on the reading I've mentioned:
On Saturday, March 21st, I will be doing a reading from six PM to seven PM at the Creole Gardens in New Orleans, as part of the gala celebration at the climax of the Palimpsest-inspired train adventure with SJ Tucker and Catherynne M. Valente. This reading will be open to the public (i.e., free). Admission to the main event - which will include live music and exotic performances of all sorts* - is thirty dollars and can be purchased here, so if you're going to be in the New Orleans area, check it out.
And check out the book. The first chapter alone is intriguing, evocatively written, and more original than anything I've seen between a pair of covers lately. I'm told it's almost sold out the first print run, so if you want a copy, you should probably hurry. It's been well-reviewed by some of the hugest names in science fiction and fantasy, including Warren Ellis, and advertised on some of the finest serial web-based fiction sites in this or any other world, including mine.
*I understand they still have room to squeeze in a few more actors and performers. If you're interested, check out here for details.
