News For Today
Catherynne Valente is doing a book drawing. The cost of admission is in the de facto currency of the internet, funny animal pictures.
In other news,
popelizbet and I are giant nerds.
I've worked out how I want to bring Tales of MU Volume 1 to a close, and I'm very pleased that it will work out so that the whole thing wraps up just a little bit shy of the 500 chapter milestone and I can possibly start volume 2 on April 1st, two things that are very important to me from a "deliberately-fuck-with-the-readers" standpoint.
Personal Assessment
I slept last night, during the night part of it. Not for terribly long... maybe four hours... but during the night, which was something. I have the curtains open today to let in the sun again. There isn't a lot of it yet since I'm on the west side of the house. The cats are making a valiant effort at sunning themselves but it's sort of pathetic. Also, they're really fascinated by a squirrel that keeps running past on top of the fence.
I woke up with my right knee feeling like I banged it on something, like it's all one big massive bruise. Things got worse when I came downstairs and tripped over a black cat hiding on a black blanket.
Dreams From Last Night
Apparently I've flown enough in the past few years that dreaming about going through airport security is now a thing that I do. In my dream last night, I was flying home from somewhere I'd gone on a class trip (something I never did at any level of education) and I ended up getting separated from my group because I stopped to get money out of an ATM and to buy a bottle of Dr. Pepper (despite the fact that we were about to go through the security checkpoint), and then I realized that I didn't have my baggage and I remembered that I'd never picked it up at the airport when we arrived and I hoped that the baggage check system would somehow route my bag back to me when I landed in Omaha.
Plans For Today
I will be making a separate post for this when I get back up. I've been up for two hours but I just hit a wave of tiredness. I think I'm about to get the rest of my sleep, or at least lie down for a bit.
