So yesterday the awesome happened. I decided to check out netbooks for future purchase in case my preferences or the market had changed any, and I found my preference had changed slightly... I ended up settling on the same basic model for the same reasons as last time, but I realized I'd prefer it in blue. I added it to my Amazon wishlist, which is more a personal reference for things I want to buy than anything else... in the time I've had it, I think maybe three things on it have been purchased by others for me.
And I decided to blog about my window shopping, mostly because if I don't write an occasional blog post about what's going through my head then my blog turns into "how much I slept and how much I wrote" all the time.
Within a few hours of making the blog post, it had been bought. Which is awesome. Amazon doesn't seem to alert one when items bought off a wishlist are purchased, so I hope my Mysterious Benefactor will forward tracking information to when it goes out... I am home pretty much all the time, but often during the day I am home alone and in the attic with headphones on, which is the same as not being home for all purposes that don't involve fire or earthquakes.
Though actually I don't know how often I'll be home alone the next few weeks, as we have a new housemate. This is not the same person I mentioned back around the holidays who I found out about in the midst of the extended houseguest situation, who I wasn't looking forward to living with for a variety of reasons. Nobody was too broken up when that arrangement fell through. This one should work out a bit better. She's stayed here before, and I've never had a problem working when she's around.
THE STATE OF THE ME
The whole "waking up early after going to bed late" thing yesterday threw my sleep off a bit, but not terminally. I ended up sleeping in the evening and then being awake for a few hours around midnight and then sleeping again. Woke up this morning feeling fine.
DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
Concerned visiting my parents in Florida, but also something about lions in an arena and whether it was okay to use mulling spices on my cache of mead (the answer was no, and the reason had something to do with the lions, but nothing about the lions is clear to me by the light of day.)
PLANS FOR TODAY
Well, I've got a mostly-written chapter of MU to go over and post, and I'm planning on sending out a newsletter tomorrow or Monday, so I'm going to be working on that a bit.
