The big news is that the new laptop is reportedly out for delivery today. Also, someone ordered the RAM upgrade I had wishlisted for it and it beat it here. So, I'm pretty excited.
In other news that is awesome, after I put it in the newsletter the travel fund got a big enough boost that I definitely have roundtrip airfare to go see Jack in May and I have airfare for me one way to WisCon.
Even just knowing that I have enough to get myself out there is itself a huge boost. I'm still going to be accepting donations and occasionally mentioning it, but at this point it's basically a WisCon expenses fund. If you're one of those people who feels better about giving money towards something that is fun and exciting, this is a good opportunity because you'll be helping pay for our hotel room and/or nights of incredible dining in downtown Madison. Seriously, though, I just want to take a moment to dwell on how awesome it is to know I'll be going back to Maryland in May. Jack has had a tough time of things and having a definite date to look forward to is a big help.
STATE OF THE ME
I went to sleep early last night and slept soundly all through the night. I'm getting a good start to the day today.
PLANS FOR THE DAY
Well, just to start off with, I'm going to get two hours of writing in before noon, which is always a great way to start things. I've got a chapter of Tales of MU begun that I can finish today easily.
