So, day two of blogging on the treadmill and it's going fairly well.

Remember when I said I was going to stop melatonin and just take valerian, to see if the mood-leveling effects I was observing could be coming from it? The results so far have been fairly positive. I've also started taking an herbal supplement called 5-HTP, which was recommended by a commenter a few days ago. I looked into it and it actually has double-blind studies supporting its use in mood disorders, and some possible indications it could help with insomnia. Just started that yesterday, it'll probably be a few weeks before I can say for sure if it's doing anything good for me.
