I got a comment on one of my A Wilder World posts from this past summer that was kind of out of the blue, but it reminded me that it's been a while since I said anything about it. When last I talked about it, the first round of playtesting seemed kind of imminent and then nothing...
Okay, remember when I was all excited about Google Drive's cloud syncing program and then less than thrilled when it ate some of my files? Among those files were my combat rules draft, which had given me so much trouble to begin with. Losing it kind of knocked the wind out of my sails.
Being back in Hagerstown is giving me a second wind, though. More on that in a bit.
I've been doing my development/writing cycle for Tales of MU a little bit differently lately... mostly based on stuff I've realized as I look back on the early chapters and analyze what I was doing in them... and I'm going to be changing the publication schedule up a bit as well, to take advantage of what I'm learning and also to account for the fact that my weekends are quite a bit different from my weekdays while I'm here (something that's less true in Nebraska).
The schedule I'm going to try is something I've done before, Tuesdays and Fridays. It didn't necessarily work in the long run, but I've got a better handle on how to make it work now, and if it doesn't work in the long run again... well, it doesn't need to. It just needs to work for now.
The State of the Me
I had such a sore and tired weekend, but feeling okay now.
Plans For Today
Basically, keep plugging away.
