Something interesting came across my desk today. I've been writing a bit here and there about brain chemistry and caffeine and dopamine... I've always thought of dopamine as a chemical component of pleasure, and recently learned it has some connections to the brain's reward-recognition mechanism, which has implications for motivation.
Now it turns out that there's research indicating that its primary purpose might be motivation.
I've kind of felt like I might be grasping at a tangent in this whole motivational deficit thing. Apparently not.
The State of the Me
Doing good. Did take valerian last night, slept well.
Plans For Today
Mostly writing.
