Greetings from sunny Florida! I'd expected to be able to do a lot of writing on the trip, since I had a three hour layover and my last flight was nearly three hours long... I can get a lot of work done on a long flight... but I was stymied by a lack of outlets available at Chicago Midway and Google Drive's unreliable offline access.
If I'd been able to charge my phone as I did it, I wouldn't have minded writing on it, but I needed to keep it charged for its phone functions. If I had been able too access my works in progress on my laptop I wouldn't have minded draining its battery, but it kept telling me the app was unreachable even though offline access is enabled.
I have never turned on wifi in an airport without getting my computer thoroughly hijacked by viruses, which even in a best case scenario robs me of more productivity than a missed day or two.
Anyway, I'm now in Florida. It's been a pleasant if eventful weekend, and now I have a fairly relaxing week ahead of me followed by a long and very busy weekend. I'll let you know if anything comes up that will alter my schedule.
The State of the Me
Florida allergens are taking some adjustment. I seem to have made it through the air transit without picking up any bugs from the airline upholstery (surface contact is the most common mode of transfer for "travel flu"... breathing the heavily filtered air in the cabin is actually really safe).
Sleep schedule has swung widely from night to night, but it's been good sleep each night... it's a really positive sign that I can vary my bedtime more easily now.
Plans For Today
I'm going to be finishing out the writing of the next epistolary tale, and I'm possibly going to make a video for YouTube
