So, we did end up going out last night for Jack's birthday. Our venue is a self-described "upscale" bowling alley... it's basically a bowling alley that's aiming for a night club feel, with gourmet food instead of the typical nachos and wings. They also have a small arcade that's focused on ticket-winning games, like a miniature Dave & Buster's. We played Fruit Ninja until I got blisters on my fingertips, which sounds like a joke but isn't. Luckily they're not positioned in such a way that they interfere with my typing.
We kind of expected the place to be interesting verging on fun, but it ended up being a total blast. We were there until just before they closed, which made for a pretty late night.
The State of the Me
As previously mentioned, I have blisters on my fingers and was up late partying. I slept well, but got to bed late and I'm being very slow to wake up today.
Plans For Today
Got a chapter of Tales of MU to finish and post. I made the right call not messing with the schedule this week, since we ended up leaving before normal business close yesterday. But probably my first or second week back in Nebraska (depending on how much work I have to do to get re-situated there) I'm going to be trying a thing.
