The Daily Report

The numbers fluctuate so quickly in the long tail of Amazon kindle sales, but "I Do Not Fight Monsters" is currently the number #37,000 on the Kindle best selling list. That's the highest any of my stories has yet climbed. Clearly, my next step is to try to make it go higher.

I'm pushing it this week within my own circles in order to try to build up a base of momentum. Next week I'm going to give you all a rest and start some paid advertisement on other sites. Doing so will probably eat up all the immediate profits from this marketing bump and then some, but I don't think it's likely to catch on at a level that's self-sustaining without that kind of investment.

Of course, the biggest single jump I'm likely to see in my Amazon profile is when I start getting the Tales of MU e-books up, which is my single biggest goal for this month.

The State of the Me

Doing alright. Thought I had a bit of a tickle in my throat yesterday, but nothing today.

Plans For Today

Today's a "write a chapter of Tales of MU" day. I'm also going over the first MU e-book.

I'd forgotten how close...

...the first Tales of MU Kindle book was to being ready, so I'm actually flipping its deadline in my schedule with "Power Failure", which though much shorter is also in need of revision. That means I'll be putting it up this weekend.

This is just more proof of what a real obstacle Nameless Creeping Dread can be. I mean, this book was practically done, but the little bit of work that was left seemed like an insurmountable obstacle.
