Remember when I said that the Omnibus IV would be out next week? I may have spoken too soon... by which I mean it will probably be up in my indie shop by the end of the day, and in the Kindle store by sometime this weekend.
Re-reading my own work is always kind of... fraught. The downside of publishing a massive ongoing serial story instead of just putting out traditional novels is that I can never really get away from "old shames", the stories or bits of writing that make me cringe to think about now. But this one, I think, has some absolutely best writing in it, particularly in the forms of the short stories collected at the end. Whenever I cut back on the MU schedule, I end up cutting the Other Tales so it doesn't end up being like every other story being a disconnected short... but really, what keeps me going when the tank feels empty is the ability to change lanes and go in a different direction. Which probably isn't how cars work, but that's why I don't drive.
The State of the Me
Doing good. I set my alarm yesterday and woke up this morning okay, hence the brighter and earlier start.
Plans For Today
I really want to get the Omnibus up as soon as possible, as I could use the mid-month shot of cash that a new book in my indie store provides. As always, the Amazon sales will take a few months to filter back to me.
