Dec. 2nd, 2014 01:14 pmThe Daily Report
I haven't spoken much about WisCon business in this space, but as we're gearing up towards WisCon 39 I'd like to draw attention to the fact that the ConCom is looking for personnel in key positions. Some of them are looking for particular expertise, others are more about the willingness to do the work. Joining the ConCom by taking on one of these roles is your chance to help make the con better, both through your contribution of time and energy and your participation in the decision-making process that guides the convention.
Yesterday's Tales of MU went up a bit late because of some unexpected phone calls during the afternoon and then a social engagement outside the house. I always feel really mixed about coming back after an absence with a transitional chapter/gear-up chapter instead of something explosive, but my style of writing is about momentum and that's kind of where the story was. I'm confident enough in how I'm situated after posting it that I've went and switched the official schedule at the top of the page back to every other week day.
The State of the Me
Went to bed a little late last night, woke up a bit slow this morning. Doing okay by mid afternoon.
Plans For Today
The holiday weekend coming so closely on the heels of a week in crisis meant I didn't ever wrap up my poetry-themed newsletter, so I'm going to be putting a bow on that and getting it into the outgoing queue today or tomorrow before turning my attention to Tales of MU.
