THE DAILY REPORT

Yesterday turned into a "reading day" when I realized that I'd been out of the saddle for too long and no longer had a feel for the things I'd been working on, or remembered enough of the finer details. I re-read my current works in progress, and a big chunk of Star Harbor stories, and a selection of Tales of MU stuff. No word count to speak of, but it was necessary.

I'm feeling serious ambivalence about how to proceed with Star Harbor Nights, insofar as I have conflicting approaches that I can see the merits and drawbacks of equally well. I'll be making up my mind soon, I think. What I'm going to do is sit down and start writing along each of the possible lines and seeing which one actually works best.

Today I'm actually writing. I've already started and am at about ~1000 words. In the afternoon I'm going to be working on the next chapter of Tales of MU along with the new short story that's in my head at the moment.

THE STATE OF THE ME

We're halfway through March and I've started to summer-ize my room. Seems ridiculous, but weather.com has a map of the country showing the deviation from the normal temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and Nebraska's at +30. Projected high is 78 degrees today.

I did manage to get my room cooled down last night enough to sleep very well.

PLANS FOR TODAY

Write on. I want to have the main body of tomorrow's MU chapter done, because things always work out better when I don't have anything to do but polish on posting day.
