alexandraerinBefore I forget again, I want to say a few kind words about Lollyphile, the innovative candy company that's made the rounds on the Project Wonderful advertising network. They caught my eye a few months back and I ordered a couple of boxes of their then-current flavors to share on the train trip.
They are gourmet lollipop makers, with every flavor being a unique handcrafted specialty. Their first two were absinthe and maple bacon. I thought, what could be more appropriate for a trip to New Orleans than absinthe on a stick?* And then I thought, Mmmm.... bacon. Both flavors were very well received, though more people were willing to trust the maple bacon.
They are pricey compared to going to the store and buying a bag of Dum-Dums, and there is the whole delayed satisfaction thing, but these are substantial suckers. They last a good long while.
*And as I click on the link to make sure I got the address right, I see they have an answer for me: their brand new Bourbon on a stick flavor. Nobody likes a smartass, Lollyphile.
Fortunately for you, everybody likes a lollipop.
