More on Office.

...so not only have I managed to get the Office On Demand streaming application to work, but I've also got the Office web app (a different, in-browser approach to the same end result that wasn't working for me before) working. This is even better, because it loads faster and I imagine it will work in situations where the On Demand system won't (like somebody else's computer where I don't have necessary permissions).
Though bizarrely, the web app doesn't seem to be able to create new files. The "new" option is missing from its file tab, and on the screen that shows my SkyDrive office files, clicking an existing file opens it in the browser and clicking a blank file streams the On Demand app to create it.
So basically, Microsoft continues to deliver a somewhat baffling user experience attached to otherwise great products.
