The Virtual Game Table is one of the game tools that was supposed to launch with 4E. It would let you run a game online with a virtual tabletop and miniatures, voice chat, and stuff fully supported for D&D rules (including assisted character creation with a menu-based tool that includes and explains all the options from all the books... they have that much out now).
There are freeware based solutions that do a lot of the same things, but considering how much stuff I've got going on I'd rather have something that's already completely tailored for the rules I'm using, that uses tile-based map builders instead of "import your JPG map into the program and we'll put a grid on it!" (because I fail art), etc.
