Not to encourage more reading and less writing, but there's an excellent, rather short book you could probably whip through while you're reinstalling Windows (depending on the version of Windows, and your reading speed): Graceling, by Melissa Marr.
It's an intriguing world, and being a teen book, it's not that long.
I'm off to hit the Memorial Day sales, and methinks I'm going to get a copy with my Borders coupon; I want to read it a fourth time.
