If you find yourself in a discussion about somebody's "life choices", and you find yourself saying words to the effect of "I'm sorry, but I can't imagine any situation where I would have to ______..." or "...where ______ would seem necessary." or "...______ would seem like a viable option", for any value of _______, then it might be worth considering how much more this statement reflects upon the limits of your own life experience and imagination than it does anything else.
