alexandraerinSo, welcome to Son of Yet Again Not A Real Status Post. Despite spending most of the day yesterday hibernating I didn't have any clear dreams, I haven't thought about a random link, and the biggest news I can call to mind is that we have discovered there's a network in our neighborhood called "Pretty Fly For A Wi-Fi". It's too soon to tell for certain, but early reports indicate this may be the greatest thing in the history of ever.
The nose is still runny, but I feel markedly better after a day of almost complete hibernation. Pretty sure I can afford a trip to the clinic if things don't continue to improve.
The roommate derby's been going way better than expected. Dee's fans seem to be the most motivated, but it's gratifying to see how much support Steff has. The dominant voices in the fandom often seem pretty dead-set against her. It's nice to get tangible evidence of more diverse viewpoints.
I'm going to be doing some writing today. I'm not fully awake yet, and I'm not sure I'm done writing. Yesterday, I kept seeing the comments about how hard it was going to be to wait until Friday for the next chapter and I kept thinking, "Oh, I can buckle down and get one done for Wednesday." Yeah, I'm glad I didn't have the energy to say so any of the times I thought that, because that would have been the most unrealistic short-term goal in the history of unrealistic short-term goals.
But even if it's not going to be done quickly, I'm confident that the next chapter is going to be good. And the one after that? It should be fucking amazing. I wrote 400 words of it at the start of January.

on 2011-02-02 07:40 pm (UTC)I feel you on the drippy-nose crap. I just had to run out and get some antibiotics for this nasty sinus infection I've been fighting off. Hibernating is one of the best ways to deal with it, though :)
