Today's major news item is that I'm auctioning the first copy of the first book of Tales of MU, as detailed here. I have definite-ish plans for the money that will depend on where exactly it ends up. Suffice it to say for now that these funds aren't going to go in my book-buying or hat budget. Since we're already up to 75 officially (and one currently misplaced bid for 90), I'm pretty confident of breaking triple digits, at least.
Other news item is that today is the 7th and thus the last day of the The Gift of the Bad Guy pre-sale. I'm going to have a fairly busy week of getting things ready to go out on launch day.
Personal Assessment
Legs are a little off. I slept well last night, though, and have no troubling new symptoms. My brain feels fairly sharp, given that I've just woken up. Edit: Myleft right knee is messed up, as I've discovered in the course of actually getting up and coming downstairs.
Dreams From Last Night
I was a female Flash helping a stricken Superman get rid of kryptonite by hurling it into the Speed Force. There was a skyscraper in the dream that extended all the way into orbit and its windows were made of kryptonite-laced material that made it a broadcast antenna for kryptonite radiation, and so I had to run up and down all the sides of it to shatter the glass and send the shards into the Speed Force.
Unfortunately this just had the effect of making them semi-omnipresent throughout time and space, so from the point on the atmosphere of the earth was permeated with low levels of kryptonite radiation and Superman just got weaker and weaker and eventually he became a sort of patchwork being as he started taking parts from other superbeings to shore up his failing body. He ended up dying in a hospital anyway.
Plans For Today
Primary plan is to write the next chapter of Tales of MU. It'll be tricky to write, because it's a transitional chapter. This is the point where things start to accelerate towards the close of Volume 1. I'm not sure yet if that shift will happen at the end of today's chapter (with the next chapter going into "and time passed" mode, or if it will happen within the chapter. I'm going to have to experiment a little.
