Got in 4,000 words yesterday, which included a good start on today's KDR post and a flash fic. It was kind of a lethargic day and I got off to a slow start, so I'm pleased with where it ended up.
Another thing I tried yesterday was to again write something about Dee's love life outside of MU, this time with Darek. I think the reason I'm not liking how either of these attempts have gone is that I'm trying to write her with one person. I thought it would be easier to start that way, but her dynamic just works better with multiple partners. The whole reason I decided to start with Dee in the first place is how easy it was to write previous scenes with her and her lovers.
I don't think I'm going to be jumping right in to trying something with that insight unless the muse bites me hard. She had her chance and needs to wait at least a couple of days now.

DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
Every once in a while I have a dream where it's like I wake up and realize I've been forgetting to go to a job I had years ago every day for the past however many intervening years. Last night I had that dream about high school. I was scrambling to try to find textbooks among my D&D books, notebooks that weren't full of game notes and things like that, and clothes that could pass as suitably masculine.
Strangely, while I know for a fact that there are no high school textbooks among my possessions, they were the one thing I had the least trouble locating. I suppose that's because the basic premise of the dream was that I actually was still a high school student.
PLANS FOR TODAY
I'm half done with the KDR for today, so that's obviously top priority. Depending on how long it takes I might spend an hour on the chapter I wrote Friday (which is due tomorrow) since I wrote it while sleep deprived.
