Feb. 1st, 2012 08:58 amTHE DAILY REPORT
So, yesterday I wrote 5,000 words during the workday. Jack went to bed somewhat early and I wrote another 2,000 words after that. About two thousand words of that was part of the KDR chapter I posted. The other 5,000 were of a new story. I think it's going to be my next thing I work on an hour or so each day, and unlike the last one of those it should be marketable, though it's still fairly specific in its appeal. I'll have more to say about it when it's farther along. Depending on how it shakes out, it might be something for Forbidden Fiction.
I'm missing some parts of my work on Dangerous Instrumentality that I think were done in October, which means they're probably on my laptop, which I don't use very often now because of its unreliability. One of my tasks for today is going to be to get all the fragments together in the cloud (somehow uniting fragments in a cloud makes me feel like I'm playing a Kirby game or something) so I can proceed the story. I wrote a bit on it last week but without having the other parts I'm just making the thing more fragmented when I should be stitching it together.
While going through the things I need to do today I keep thinking that I'm fairly sure there are things that last week I realized I should have done right after my office day that I forgot about during it, which I'm not remembering yet today. Oh, well. If that happens again this week I'll start writing down my list beforehand, as things come to me.
One of my tasks for today is the publication of the erotica piece I shared in the last newsletter as "Kitty". I'm not settled on that as the final title. I'd planned on breaking into Smashwords this week but I'm feeling a bit foggy and they have a rather lengthy style guide so I think I'm going to make learning their system this week's goal and actually putting stuff up on their site something for next week. I don't like doing new things when I'm foggy, it ratchets my anxiety through the roof.
STATE OF THE ME
Slept well, but like I said, foggy. It happens.
DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
None distinct.
PLANS FOR TODAY
I'm going to make a task list post here in a bit.
