Another "meta to-do list" item.
Feb. 19th, 2011 07:43 amGet in the habit of scheduling a short break in the Tales of MU updates in between books/major arcs in Volume 2.
I did this after the individual books at the start of volume 1. It's a habit I lost at the same time I stopped breaking them up into books, although I probably would have dropped it anyway as MU went from being a side project to my main project and I became really focused on keeping a consistent update schedule. I'm not abandoning the idea of a consistent schedule, but that schedule will consistently include breaks where they are needed.
After anything like a denouement, I need a chance to come down a little, and to switch gears for the next story. It's a little bit trickier right now because Volume 1 is almost over... it is, in fact, essentially over, but I need to carry the story forward from this point, and I have to work out how best to do that. I have the basic idea... it's just a matter of putting it into practice. I'm in new territory here.
(Note: This post and any other similar posts I make are intended to share my thought processes with interested persons. It's not me trying to launch a brainstorming session. There's exactly one person who knows what points I'm trying to get to and from, and what hurdles are in the way, and what must be accomplished along the way. In short: no advice, please.)
