News For Today

Japan's coast has been hammered by a tsunami following an 8.9 earthquake. Hundreds are dead, much is destroyed. Other parts of the Pacific have been affected, as well. I'm just waking up... if I find a good round-up of places to donate/help I'll add that here later.

Personal Assessment

I seem to be getting most of my sleep in long but not uninterrupted stretches on certain nights after days where I'm particularly tired.

Dream From Last Night

I was a member of a group of Highlander-style immortals, being hunted by a group that was opposed to immortals but seemed to be immortal themselves. They killed one of my friends, an old and inquisitive man who stuck his head through the magic mirror that was the portable entrance to their headquarters and then they shut the doors on his neck. They had special alert sensors that triggered whenever an immortal touched the ground in certain places, which would cause one or more of their members to materialize on the scene. They also had all this steampunky looking armor that could be used to shoot big giant blades.

Incongruously, in the middle of all this, I really wanted to visit tithenai, who was selling baskets in the middle of a park that was unfortunately part of the hunters' territory.

Also while this was happening, there was a shuttle being piloted by Gary Sinise and Jeff Goldblum going up to rendezvous with a space station to recover something that was left there for safekeeping and was needed for the survival of earth. Due to technical difficulties with the station, they had to use some of the shuttle's air supply to make it breathable, and they lacked any means of getting that air back, so the only way to get The Object back to earth was for Gary Sinise to stay behind, knowing the oxygen in the station wouldn't last long enough for another shuttle to be launched.

Yes, my dream had a b-plot, and the b-plot had some fantastic casting.

Plans For Today

Important chapter of Tales of MU today, on a meta level. I'm still feeling my way towards the close. Monday's chapter will be seen in retrospect as setting a tone; this chapter has to carry it forward.

I figured in your dream! Eee! I love when people tell me about that, especially if I'm doing something like incongruously selling baskets.

My dreams last night were scary and angry and involved needing to hide boxes of secrets far underwater.
