News For Today

Maaaan, I'm doing that thing again where I decide not to do the status post first thing when I get up so that I can do it when I have some sense of how the day is going and when I have something to show for it... that never works out well, but I fall into the trap anyway.

This was an especially bad week to do that, as I've been working on a lot of different things (three different Tales of MU stories, the audio project, etc.) I work best when I have more than one thing in front of me, but I need to play traffic cop for myself when I do that or it's just gridlock.

Well, I avoided this pitfall today. That's something.

We had a heck of a storm last night. Knocked the power off at least four times, and also felled a tree on the edge of our lack of neighbor's yard. (Lots of empty houses in this neighborhood right now.) Luckily it was a small tree and didn't hit anything. Our resident homeowner is on top of things with the insurance but it still could have been a hassle.

State of the Me

I have been having some pretty bad random leg issues... cramps and feelings of twitchiness/flutteirness in the muscles, the sort of thing that normally happens if I'm not getting enough iron or potassium or calcium or something. As far as I can tell my intake levels are all normal there. This is actually pretty normal for me. Not "every day" normal, but an accepted part of the Magic of Being Me. I haven't noticed any new spasms today, just tenderness in the spots where the worst knots happened.

This is the part where I really wish I'd been doing status posts all week because then I'd have some sort of documentary evidence of how long the episode lasted instead of "this week".

Dreams From Last Night

I had a new variation on the "Didn't you used to be a writer?" dream. This one featured people I went to high school with and teachers picking apart my business model and work ethic. Subtle, brain. Subtle.

Plans For Today

Got the Thylean discussion shaping up. If we don't have thunderstorms in the PM, I'll be recording the goblin creation myth, and possibly the giant one... depends on how long the goblin one takes and what it takes out of me. I'm going to be trying to read it in an appropriate voice.

On the subject of disturbing creation myths in creepy voices, have some [livejournal.com profile] s00j:
