So, my plan for the month is going pretty well. Yesterday after I made my status post I ended up feeling wiped out and had to lay back down. I'm pretty used to using Saturday as the day to catch up on all the sleep I missed during the week... hopefully having a more tightly regulated sleep schedule will help there. I might have exacerbated things yesterday by getting up when I felt wide awake two hours before my alarm, and only seven hours after lights out. Or maybe I just needed more rest because of all the restless nights before. Don't know. Hard to dissect those things.

Last night was a night of frequently interrupted sleep (my knee's still bothering me and I kept finding myself in positions where either it was uncomfortable, or my shoulder was made uncomfortable by my efforts to stay off of it), but good solid sleep in between. I had some more interesting and coherent dreams, including one that took the form of a child's adventure story involving a pair of magical time-traveling earrings (one takes you back, one brings you back) and an emperor who rewarded great services by letting the performer of said service walk through a room of gold dust and keep whatever left with them.

Today has been a day of thinking the thinky thoughts. I woke up shortly before my alarm went off... and comically had a mental conversation with myself about not making the same mistake I made yesterday of thinking that just because I was wide awake "hours before ten" I should just get up. I just couldn't believe that I'd been asleep uninterrupted for the whole time since the sun came up.

In keeping up the strict bedtime throughout the week, I'm hoping I'll arrive at next weekend with the spoons needed to get up and actually do things.
