THE DAILY REPORT

In light of the lost draft for the mid-month newsletter and the fact that the holidays will limit my time to write a month end one, this is going to be a one newsletter month. I feel kind of bad about that since my goal for the month was to make the newsletters better, but this is the way to make it the best that it can be. "Two rushed newsletters" isn't necessarily better than "one awesome one"... I don't think anybody buys for quantity.

I *really* need to make a daily inventory checklist thingy in hard copy of stuff to do even when I'm having a busy AFK day or a bad day or a brain dead day, because there are some things (like my breathing/centering) that I end up cutting or skimping on that do so much to improve the rest of my day... I can get more done with an hour of breathing followed by an hour of timed writing than I do in three hours of "Okay, I guess I'll get some writing done." I know I've remarked on this more than once before... blogging about it is my way of reinforcing the fact to myself.

In fact, printing out this inventory is going to be one of my tasks for today. It's going to be pretty short. So far breathing and timed writing are the only things that will be on it for sure. Oh, and taking my supplements. That's not something I skimp on to save time on days when I'm feeling rushed, but the more I need my shot of ginkgo/ginseng on a given day, the more likely I will forget/lack motivation to take it.

On the subject of routines: I'm still not at 100% when it comes to following my friends lists or keeping up with my email again. Part of the problem with email is the necessity of signing into two Gmail accounts... it's just easy to space off the one I use less often, especially since I went so long without realizing that my contact email was not always forwarding to it that it doesn't often occur to me that I'm missing things when I look at my personal email inbox. It's not that it doesn't forward anything, it's that it doesn't seem to forward everything. I really wish I knew what was going on with that.

So to make a long story short, I'm going back to Plan A, which was to set up an email client to check my contact email address so I don't have to think to log into it, open a tab for it, etc. Something I can have set to run automatically on my main computer. That's going to be a task for sometime in the next week, because it's something I want in place before the newsletter goes out. In the meantime I am combing through the inbox of my contact account for things I've missed. So if you get a reply to something you sent weeks or months ago, that's why.

Doing okay. Slept okay.

DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT

The whole internet was abuzz over the decision to bring Lois & Clark back for two more seasons, using computer effects to make up for cast members aging/dying.
