Jan. 24th, 2012 09:58 amTHE DAILY REPORT
I finished up yesterday with ~4200 words, which I felt pretty good about especially since I wasn't alone in the house. In fact, I deliberately chose to work downstairs in the occupied portion. It's never going to be as relaxing or easy for me to write when other people are around, but getting to a point where it's possible when it's necessary seems like a worthwhile goal. I'm very fortunate to have four days every week where I have a big block of time to myself right now, but it's best not to count on that.
Tomorrow's going to be my "office" day this week (decided to call it that rather than "work" day because writing is working, albeit pleasant work). I'm officially deciding that rather than pegging down a specific day of the week and trying to hold to it, I'm going to look at what needs doing in a week and make it the day that makes sense.
I'm going to be putting at least one new story up for sale tomorrow, "A Matter of Appearances", a wizardly tale of intrigue and deceit. I might also be putting up the erotic story I shared in the last newsletter.
THE STATE OF THE ME
Went to bed on a timely basis last night, woke up early and well this morning.
DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
I was babysitting a preschooler who was disconcertingly ready for the Rapture, in a triumphalist "The sinners must burn!" sort of way.
PLANS FOR TODAY
Okay, so, this is the first day since I declared "write on!" as my new battle cry where I really have vast acres of time to myself. I have a chapter of Tales of MU to post, of course, but anticipate no problems with that.
