Feb. 2nd, 2012 10:40 amTHE DAILY REPORT
Okay, campers, rise and shine... and don't forget your booties, 'cause it's cold out there today! Well, actually, it's sort of unseasonably warm out there today. It's 37o F at the moment and is supposed to peak near 60. But it's still Groundhog Day.
So, the last chapter I put up in January had a nag box at the bottom of the story that got basically no response... which kind of floored me because I thought it was a particularly good chapter, that people would find it satisfying and cool and it was kind of the long side and it was posted fairly early in the day. I guess a lot of people just stop scrolling/reading/paying attention when they get to the bottom of the story, and apparently even people who participate in the comments scroll past anything between the story and them.
So yesterday I put an almost identical box at the top of the new chapter. Immediate response. Okay. Now I know. I think I'm going to make a point to do that once or twice a month (not always with such a large box from top to bottom, though I think varying the size and shape probably helps keep it from fading into the background.) I'm also going to move the box on chapter 64 down to the bottom when I put the next chapter up on Saturday to make for less cluttered archive reading.
My erotic "petgirl" story Kitty: Love Caged did drop yesterday. Check it out if that's your thing... and I mean that last part. If you don't like explicit sex or D/s dynamics, don't buy this one for a sense of completism or because it's me.
As I mentioned earlier in the week, I'm about the same place today that I was in last Thursday: two days before a MU chapter is due and with the idea to try to have two chapters written by then. My concept for the next two chapters is not as well-formed as it was for the past two chapters (both of which were, in my humble opinion, pretty much home-runs) but I don't need four really pivotal chapters in a row, I don't think.
STATE OF THE ME
Doing okay. Slept on my back by mistake for part of the morning, but it doesn't seem too messed up by that.
PLANS FOR TODAY
Well, it's a writing day, obviously. Again, my goal for the week is to have two chapters written by Saturday. This might mean finishing a chapter today, but it might also mean beginning both chapters today.
