Feb. 20th, 2012 12:52 pmTHE DAILY REPORT
I've been sleeping long and late the past three days. Don't think I was behind on sleep, and don't think I'm fighting any nascent illness or anything... I believe it's more a matter of my body reveling in the fact that it's possible to sleep so well while the conditions are right for it. I'm not complaining. There have been periods in the past where I've gone three days without sleeping at all. Spending three days in a row oversleeping is a cake walk compared to that.
Today's the first weekday where I woke up after noon in a fairly good while, so it's going to be a catch-as-catch-can work day, but that shouldn't be a problem.
I've had a few new subscribers to the newsletter lately, and it's made me notice that sometimes people sign up and I put their names on the list and then they never click on the confirmation link. I think I'm going to do a PSA over on the Tales of MU site where it will get more notice, sometime in the next few days. Make sure everybody who wants it is getting it.
I'm glad to see the newsletter taking off, though, because it's a great value and getting better. I'll have more about that on Wednesday of this week.
STATE OF THE ME
Fairly pleasant, all things considered.
DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
I had a newly discovered gift for singing that kind of came and went unpredictably, which was embarrassing because I'd accepted a role in a local production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Also, somebody was trying to get me to help with their new musical about a rocket scientist who wants to find love among the stars but doesn't realize he lives next door to three "gang-banging beauties from outer space" (which was the title of the musical, and a line from the title song."
PLANS FOR TODAY
In theory I've got a chapter of Tales of MU to finish, though after my sleepy weekend it might be easier to stay one day behind for the rest of the month. Not saying for sure one way or the other just yet, because I'm still waking up.
