THE DAILY REPORT

So, after a couple of days in a row of waking up feeling drained and then feeling progressively worse as things drag on, I've ended up spending most of the day in my personal bed-equivalent. I got up a bit ago to eat, and I've done a bit of writing and a bit of surveying of where things stand.

I'm about half finished with the next chapter of Tales of MU, which leaves me feeling fairly confident I can get it in tomorrow, keeping with the "one day behind schedule" schedule. I've just realized I've missed an Other Tales story this month that under the circumstances I'm not even going to try to make up. Assuming I get better rather than worse, the second February newsletter is going to be sometime next week.

Between the length of February, the fact that I'm a day behind on regular chapters, and my imminent departure, I'm looking at a trickier than usual end-of-month pile-up that I thought I would avoid by being ahead of the game, before my immune system made other plans. What I do about it is going to depend in large part on how the next few days go, in terms of getting better or worse. I plan on spending as much of the next two days as necessary/possible sleeping.

STATE OF THE ME

Symptoms: nose and eyes that run like faucets, to the point that if I didn't have other stuff going on I would have thought it was an allergic reaction. The annoying post-nasal throat irritation. Minimal coughing, no noticeable sinus pain but an occasional headache (doesn't feel like a sinus headache, though.) Slight, controllable fever for less than 24 hours. The deep-down, bone-aching lethargy I usually feel when I'm sick. The thick and impenetrable brain fog that comes with that lethargy.

Looking back at my blog (this is why I chart my condition daily), I think the onset or first bout was probably actually last weekend, when I was inexplicably tired, although other symptoms didn't appear until mid-week.

As a slightly more positive note: I'm used to being a lot more sick during the winter, a lot more often. I'm taking it as a good sign that this is my first respiratory illness and it's nearly the end of February.

DREAMS FROM TODAY

Oh, so many. Most of them have faded into obscurity but I know there was a anti-vampire inquisition that involved forcing people to eat strawberry lemonade flavored pancakes to prove they're not vampires. In the dream, this was apparently a specific and well-known piece of vampire lore.

PLANS FOR TODAY

Take a hot bath, and then decide whether or not to go lay down again.
