Feb. 27th, 2012 08:21 amTHE DAILY REPORT
Maaaaan, I feel like someone suckerpunched me and stole a week from me. The past few months have been a powerful lesson in how much I can still get done under less than ideal (i.e., normal) circumstances. The past few days have been a sobering reminder that I'm still human and there are always going to be things beyond my control.
Anyway, as I said in a previous post, it's kind of awesome to realize that I made it this far without getting laid up. Seriously, I don't think I've been seriously ill since last June. I can't think of a winter I've spent less time hacking and sneezing than this one.
I think it's pretty well passed now, but there are only three days left in the month and four days left before my vacation, so I've got no idea what I'm going to get done this week. As much as I can, obviously, but I don't yet know what that will consist of.
STATE OF THE ME
My body woke me up early this morning to let me know that it absolutely did not need any more sleep, which is a good sign because when it's fighting something it tends to be like an all-you-can-sleep buffet. Small amount of residual soreness in my throat, but I can breathe through my nose... a very welcome relief.
DREAMS FROM LAST NIGHT
Something about balancing the Avengers' budget.
PLANS FOR TODAY
Get back into the swing of things. I've written less than a thousand words a day for the past four or five days, so today's going to be one of those days where the point is to write, rather than to write something in particular.
