It's the week of Wiscon and I'm finding myself doing a lot of stock-taking. I've felt pretty good about keeping on top of Tales of MU, but I'm finding myself realizing a lot of things I've meant to have done by now and haven't.
Last year this time I was riding pretty high on a wave of creativity and relatively splashy (for me) success, from which I crashed pretty hard. This year, it's more like I'm coasting along. I'm not hitting any big goals but I'm making progress. I don't know, I think this might be more sustainable in the long run. I have projects like By Half Measures that I thought would have been done a couple of months ago that instead are still inching along.
Wiscon is not going to be a working weekend for me. I've been carrying forward a bit of work each chapter, but I'm not a full chapter ahead at the moment so while I don't anticipate a problem with Friday's chapter, there's no chance of me pulling out a decent chapter on Tuesday. So, when I post the chapter today I'm going to be declaring a Memorial Day holiday.

Having assorted aches and pains, but healthy and slept well last night.
Dreams From Last Night
Jack was recording a demo version of a song he wrote, with an acoustic guitar, in the backyard of the house I grew up in.
Plans For Today
Primarily, finishing and posting Tales of MU. I'm also working on the conceptual angle for the next chapter.
