I'm a bit ahead of the game on Tales of MU at the moment, but I'm going to keep up my cycle and the escalating daily targets anyway. Even with that, though, my writing tasks are light for the day so I'm going to be concentrating on getting some things set up over on the forum. Specifically, the writing group I've talked about a few times... the one where the focus is on writing. Not "How do I write well?" but "How do I write?"
I've been somewhat at a loss for what to call it. I like "HOW DO I SHOT WORD?", but that's a bit of a mouthful and isn't going to make sense to anyone who doesn't internet as much. Every imaginable variation of "The Writer's Tool[noun for thing that holds tools]" has been used a dozen times over.
I almost decided to stick with one of my favorite metaphors and call it The Word Mines, but... that's not actually a very good metaphor. I like it because it's not a good metaphor, which means that I amuse myself terribly every time I say I'm off to the word mines. A group of this nature has to acknowledge that writing can be a struggle, but I don't think it will be beneficial to anybody to position it up front as a struggle, as a monumental labor.
In the end I've decided to go with a play on words of sorts and call it Another Word For Writing.
The State of the Me
Stayed up a bit late last night, due to sleep schedule displacement from the day before. Didn't quite successfully sleep in, so a bit tired.
Plans For Today
500 words of Tales of MU, a flash story, and get the skeleton in place for the writing forums. Tomorrow I'll write some preliminary rules/guidelines for the group.
