Okay, so I got to bed earlier last night and woke up earlier this morning... a sentence that only works because "earlier" is a relative statement. But progress has been made in mending my sleep schedule and I have a lot more of the day in front of me today than I did yesterday.
I've also finally mastered the rhythm of my housemates' work/sleep schedules, which changed while I was away. This is good because it gives me a block of time during the day, four days a week, when I can be relatively assured of being alone in the house. That's pretty helpful to me.
I'm trying to get my head on straight today because tomorrow's the first of the month. I have a psychological thing about starting times... if I resolve to do something at a particular hour and I miss it, I try to do it at ten after. Or half an hour after, if it's a particularly nervous day. I'm less so when it comes to dates because I don't have a strong sense for them, but I always feel better starting things off strong at the beginning of a month, when I notice it.
The State of the Me
Little tired, as I tend to be when I'm adjusting sleep schedules, but not bad. The weather today: a mere 92 at the moment, projected high of 98. That's still an improvement. I note with some dismay that the forecast for tomorrow is 102. Last time I looked there were no 100s. I'll try not to take it as a sign that August is starting with a triple-digit thermometer and instead take it as a sign that it's the lowest >100 day I've seen for a while.
Plans For Today
Foremost: finish and post chapter 103.
