The Daily Report

Slept better last night. Up earlier today, and so far I've mostly been occupied with the non-writing stuff that got pushed back a bit due to tiredness yesterday.

Two of my three housemates have gone to Chicago for a con and will be gone through Monday. The remaining one works nights and sleeps during the day, so I have a very empty and quiet house right now. It's kind of awesome.

I've got a few days' worth of email to catch up on... my laptop does this thing where it gets a bad cookie from Gmail somehow and keeps giving server errors until I delete the cookies, which I'm loathe to do because then I have to sign into everything fresh, and remind my bank who I am when I try to log in and so on. My laptop is where I do most of my work, especially when the house is full. Today, when I can sit at my desktop downstairs and be utterly alone all day, I figured out how and where to delete a single site's cookies in Chrome. It wasn't terribly intuitive, and the page that Google's help directed me to on how to delete cookies for specific webpages dropped me off in the right neighborhood but didn't give me a house number. But the problem is solved, right at the same moment it became superfluous.

This morning I've been trying out listening to an audiobook (Harry Potter, as that's what I have on my computer) while doing the non-creative stuff that otherwise makes me zone out. Worked pretty well.

The State of the Me

Doing pretty good. No complaints.

Plans For Today

It's been a productive morning. I've got a lot of work to do on the chapter for today, not so much in terms of writing but in polishing. I've got a lot of really strong moments that are only loosely connected.
