Yesterday's experiment in turning off the internet to write went really, really well.
Going less well: all my goals for the month. But if the offline writing thing cuts down on the amount of time it takes me to do an hour's worth of writing... yeah, I could still cross most of the final goals off by the end of August. That's all I'm going to say in terms of predictions. The MU book one is going to be my highest priority because I've been meaning to do that forever and it's still the number one inquiry I get.
Today is the day to start a chapter of Tales of MU, which I actually have started in advance... back when I was writing ahead? Yeah. The fighting class ended up being more chapters than I'd expected due to various reasons both good (unexpected great ideas) and bad (not being up to writing a fight scene at a particular moment).
So I'm ahead a little. I'm still going to write at least 500 more words on it because that's the way to stay ahead.
The State of the Me
I woke up at three in the morning due to a computer I thought I'd shut down going through automatic updates and restarting. Have a slightly hungover feel today.
Plans For Today
As mentioned above, got a 500 word commitment to the next chapter today. I'm also working on an Other Tales (remember those? Remember when I used to do them?) that spun out of Mackenzie's internal aside about dwarven tradition of secrecy.
