It's a combination of staying up late (as in, staying up late, not as in insomnia) too many nights and not having any caffeine in the regular course of things any more. My mornings are kind of scattered and strung out. By the time I'm mentally fit for duty it's like three or four in the afternoon and well past time for me to get down to brass tacks.

The past couple of nights I've been trying to ameliorate this by improving the quality of my sleep, by taking valerian for the first time since I've been here. The night before last it didn't help much because it was pushing three when I went to lay down, but last night I was down by midnight.

I was up earlier this morning than I have been and have been pulling myself together better and faster, so that's good.
