I've been having some mouse issues lately with my travel mouse... I like the mini USB versions that have an actual retractable cord as opposed to the battery powered wireless ones, because there are fewer things that can go wrong with them. But in this case, each of three buttons stopped working one after another, with no obvious mechanical problem (smooth action, audible clickiness still present, nothing obviously broken when chassis opened up). In the course of this I realized that at some point my trackpad seems to have stopped working... not sure when, because I almost always use the mouse.
I'm probably better than most people at computering without a mouse, because I like to keep my hands on the keyboard when I'm in the zone. The biggest thing the lack of a usable mouse did to me was slow down my rate of posting The One Called Wander, because Tumblr's interface is pretty mouse-dependent.
I did get a chance to go out and get a new mouse this weekend, so we're back in business.
I'm not sure I'm going to keep Wander as a Tumblr-based story, as Tumblr's issues are pretty extensive and a lot of the advantages I thought I might gain from Tumblr aren't really materializing. But I don't know. No decision yet.
The State of the Me
Doing pretty well.
